Raju gets special treatment

Sept. 8: The former chief of Satyam computers, Mr Ramalinga Raju, is getting VIP treatment at the Nizam Institute of Medical Sciences (NIMS) where he was admitted after suffering a mild heart attack on Monday. According to the officials at NIMS he has been shifted to the VIP section of the Intensive Critical Care Unit (ICCU).
The officials added that apart from heart ailments, the 55-year-old Raju is suffering from Hepatitis C and hypertension.
Officials at the ICCU said that several tests were performed on Raju at various city hospitals in the last three months.
The Nims hospital medical superintendent, Dr N. Satyanarayana, also confirmed that the disgraced founder of Satyam computers was diagnosed with hypertension and Hepatitis C.
When asked about the reason for Mr Raju getting VIP treatment at Nims, the doctor refused to comment on the issue.
