T&T test awaits Somerset

Bengaluru
Oct. 11: With Saturday night’s stunning win over the current Indian Premier League (IPL) champions Deccan Chargers still fresh in their minds, Somerset will look to seal their berth into the next round when they take on Trinidad and Tobago in a Group A match here in the Champions League T20.
Somerset were least expected to win against the strong Chargers but they upset the applecart, with Alfonso Thomas sealing a famous win for Justin Langer captained side. And they will be hoping for an encore against Darren Ganga-led Trinidad & Tobago (T&T) to prevent them from sweating over the result of the group’s final league game. It is the first match of the tournament for T&T, who have a better idea of conditions here, having spent the last five days playing practice games.
Having said that, T&T also have some quality players in their ranks, with West Indies all-rounder Dwayne Bravo leading the pack. Also in the side are internationals Denesh Ramdin, Lendl Simmons, Darren Bravo and Ravi Rampaul.
Somerset will hope their experienced opening pair of Langer and Marcus Trescothick fire for them, and on match eve, while Ganga gave credit to Somerset for their win, he also claimed his side were the better of the two.
